Iceland Travel - Accommodation, Sightseeing Tours, Golf Courses - Detailed interactive location map Iceland

Iceland’s natural wonders create a magical sightseeing experience in a country filled with geysers, rock formations, hot springs, waterfalls and active volcanoes. Your gateway to Iceland is Reykjavik, its misty ambience providing an invigorating feel. Thermal springs are aplenty! Museums and art galleries are worth checking out, as is the popular nightlife and don't miss the shopping in Reykjavik.
There is fabulous scenery in West Iceland. Dating back some 15 million years, the oldest rock formations can be found in the West Fjords. The region is great for fishing also boasts waterfalls, glaciers and fantastic birdlife. Hiking is ideal for enjoying these wonderful sights. Europe’s largest glacier is in East Iceland. Vatnajokull is a grand showcase of volcanic activity underneath massive ice caps with mountain peaks as the backdrop - leaving anyone in complete awe.
North Iceland is distinct for its spectacular views of the midnight sun, painting red and gold colours around the region at its finest during summer. Then, set off for whale-watching tours off Eyjafjörður and Skjálfandi bay.
Iceland’s other drawcards lie South. The best waterfalls in the country, Gulfoss (Golden Falls), never fail to captivate visitors. The world-renowned Geysir continues to attract tourists to the area. If you’re up for seeing Iceland’s active volcanoes, head a little farther east towards Mt Hekla and Mt Katla.

Iceland, an island country in Northern Europe with a fascinating culture and an equally unique landscape. Imagine a place where behemoth glaciers rest side-by-side with active volcanoes, where hot springs are warmed by the flow of lava deep beneath the earth, and where trees are so few that the only standing forest is a national landmark. Imagine a place steeped in Viking history, where myths of trolls turned to stone by sunlight abound, and where half of the country's population is concentrated in its Oceanside capital, Reykjavik. Imagine all of this, and you'll have a small idea what Iceland offers. See it for yourself and discover the rest of the story.
