Milan - Accommodation, Transportation, Sightseeing, Attractions Interactive Milan map

Milan is either Italy's second or first city, depending on who you ask. While Rome may be the administrative capital, Milan is the country's financial powerhouse, the home of Italy's stock exchange, at the heartland of the wealthy and productive north.

No visit to Milan is complete without sampling the city’s rich artistic and cultural offerings. Among the attractions closest to the Westin Palace are the Pinacoteca di Brera with its matchless collection of Italian masterpieces, La Scala, the temple of world opera, the magnificent gothic Duomo, and Leonardo’s Last Supper in the church of Santa Maria Delle Grazie. And if you’re looking to take a little of Milan’s style home with you, don’t miss the world famous designers on Via Montenapoleone and Via Della Spiga. (see Milan shopping)
Moreover, just few km away from Milan, you could visit many of Italy's loveliest cities. Explore the romantic Lakes Region, the spectacular Dolomites, or many beautiful cities of art such as Bergamo, Mantova, and Brescia. Or you could travel from one castle to the next, experiencing Lombardy's rich and fascinating history.
