This is one of the earliest Golf & Country Club to be developed during the boom years when the trend then in Malaysia was to turn plantation and swamp lands into luxurious golf & country resorts. Starhill Golf & Country Club was designed by Mitsui Construction Company which turned the 460 acres plantation and swamp land into 2 x 18 holes championship golf courses with condominiums, hotel and private housing facilities.

 Since its official opening on 2 October 1993, Octville has become one of the most presigious Golf & Country Clubs in Johor. Octville Golf & Country Club is located in Bandar Seri Alam. It has 1 x 18 holes which covers 182 acres. As many natural features as possible were retained thus making the course more scenic and mature. The course is naturally lush with green grass, trees and "rough", while having 4 ponds which apart from providing the occasional water hazards also help to irrigate and drain the fairways, thus making it a true all weather course.
