Visiting Barcelona and not sure where to stay?
Try one of these popular Barcelona districts

Ciutat Vella - The oldest part of this grand city, the Ciutat Vella is made up of atmospheric, narrow streets filled with boutiques, cool bars and hidden squares. Running through its heart you will find Las Ramblas – one of the world’s most vibrant and well-known boulevards. To one side of this amazing street you will find the city’s cathedral and the Gothic Quarter, and on the other, the fashionable, up-and-coming area of the Raval. Go for a meal in one of the chic restaurants around Passeig del Born before enjoying a pleasant stroll alongside the Old Port.
Eixample - Eixample’s elegant grid network is a feat of 19th-century town planning with broad avenues of modernist architecture stretching the length of the city.
Grŕcia - Overlooked by Gaudí’s Park Guell, Gracia’s narrow streets and sunny plazas are hidden away from the main avenues of Barcelona and are treasured by the young, artistic community and Catalan locals.
Les Corts - Located a short journey outside the cultural city centre, Les Corts is famous as the home of FC Barcelona and its gigantic Camp Nou football stadium – the biggest in Europe.
Sant Martí - Bordering the Mediterranean Sea and Barcelona’s city beaches to the south, the up-and-coming district of Sant Martí boasts impressive, state-of-the-art buildings, and a trendy, non-stop nightlife. After spending the morning on the beach, head onto the leafy Rambla de Poble Nou to sample some tapas in one of the numerous, authentic and intimate restaurants in this traditional area. Then stroll down the tree-lined Diagonal Avenue in the afternoon, stopping off for some serious shopping in Glňries and Diagonal Mar. In the evening, start with a relaxing drink on the terrace of a bar, before venturing to a trendy cocktail bar, or top nightclub.
Sants-Montjuďc - Overlooked by the impressive green open space of Montjuďc, the district of Sants-Montjuďc hosts some of the top city landmarks and culture hotspots, charming plazas and narrow, café-lined streets.
Sarriŕ-St. Gervasi - This privileged residential district rises up the hillside from the city centre towards the magnificent viewpoint, and theme park, of Tibidabo.

Avalon restaurant at Grand Hotel Central
This restaurant Avalon has something of the hotel's grown-up sense of style, with moody lighting and unfussy decor. The three-course menú del día is highly recommended.
