Stockholm
It’s easy to make a case for Stockholm as the most beautiful city in Scandinavia, though many insist it would win the same prize on an international scale. In any event, Sweden’s oldest and hippest city has a great deal to offer, from elegant, historic neighborhoods to funky boutiques and an exciting nightlife. Behind it all is a dazzling scene of fjords, lakes and islands.
Most of the shopping and entertainment venues are in Norrmalm commercial district. The area around Odenplan square is brimming with shops, restaurants and clubs.
Djurgarden is a more moneyed area with quiet gardens, chic jazz clubs and a range of shops on its fringes. The garden area hosts a few open-air museums as well as two prominent Swedish universities.

Goteborg
cosmopolitan, but so very Swedish!
If Stockholm is the most beautiful city in Sweden, Göteborg is considered the most welcoming! Set on the west coast, equidistant from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, Goteborg has been one of the nerve centres of the whole of Scandinavia since its foundation in 1621. It is also the largest port in the region, with a capacity of over 30 million tones of merchandise. With its broad thoroughfares, its 17th century canals and its cycle paths linking the centre to the sandy beaches of Halland south of the city, Goteborg gives the impression of having been designed for well-being. There are no less than 175 m2 of green space per inhabitant here (the Trädgårdsföreningen park contains over 2,000 varieties of rose).
Sweden's second largest city is also the most inviting. On the sea, with a harbor and canals, water is abundantly present. On land, its broad avenues give it a spacious feel. Gothenburg is ready to inundate you with hospitality!

Malmo
Malmö is a city in the south of Sweden. It is the third of Sweden's towns with a population of 250,000 inhabitants and has a modern and continental atmosphere, with a number of preserved buildings from older centuries. A 35 minutes short trip by train takes you to Copenhagen over the the Öresund Bridge.
A major sight in Malmö is the Malmöhus, the old city castle which houses a series of museums. Otherwise try the Form and Design Center or the Rooseum with good collections of modern art. The new Turning Torso tower is a major landmark of the city, located in the Västra Hamnen harbour area.

Helsingborg
Situated at Sweden's closest point to Denmark, with Elsinore clearly visible 4km away on the other side of the Oresund Strait, Helsingborg remains one of the most important ports in Europe. The strategic location means it was settled early, around a millennium ago, and explains the imposing ramparts that have stood guard over the town for 600 years.
Helsingborg is a major regional centre of trade, transport and business. Helsingborg, like Elsinore, is on the 56th parallel, a line of latitude shared with Moscow and Glasgow.
Dunkers Kulturhus is a Kim Utzon-designed art complex in the harbour that houses art exhibitions, theatre and dance shows, concerts and much more.
